Fantastic scope for the price. Very accruate and strong., October 6, 2010

The optics are clear and the construction is first rate. Using the Mil-Dot to range an object is very accruate. On my range at home I have locations marked for both yards and meters. I ranged a 72″ post with the Mil-Dots at 73.4 meters. The distance had been measured with a tape sometime ago at 73.39 meters. Need I say more? At 1.25 power things are clear. Going up in power renders things in a clear and proper magnification that is smooth and easy. Click adjustments in 1/2 MOA is fine for this style scope. Fast and accruate. I placed this scope on a Marlin Guide Gun in .45-70 Govt. The weapon has an 18.5″ barrel and the scope not only performs great, but looks right in proportion to it as well. Getting zeroed took all of 9 rounds to have me dead on the money at 100 meters. Grouping was consistant with the load used and the scope never budged a millimeter from dead on perfect. The illuminated etched glass reticle is great. In short, this is one fine scope for the money and does all it is claimed to do by the folks at Leapers said it would do. My work with the short .45-70 is in the 25 to 150 meter range and this scope fills the bill perfectly. If one needs a CQB style scope with the features listed, this is the one!

Looks knarly on my AK-47, February 26, 2011

I exchanged my “bug buster 3 X 9″ for this scope because I needed more eye relief. I mounted it on my AK and it looks awesome. The workmanship is good and I like the 1/2 minute angle clicks for windage and elevation. This scope does not really have “long eye relief” but it’s much better in that deparment than the “bugbuster”. Don’t plan on mounting this scope on a “quad-rail” replacement you’ve got for your AR or AK cause you won’t be able to see through it. It works fine in a conventional mounting position and I’m looking forwrd to seeing how it performs at the range.

Not a scout scope, March 5, 2012

I bought this as a scout scope for my Mosin Nagant but I quickly realized that the eye relief isn’t the 5 inches as advertised is is closer to 3. The box is labeled UTG 5TH gen CQB tactical but the scope says Leapers. It looks like a very well built scope with very clear glass and it feels solid on your hands. I plan on returning it because its not what was advertised but it does seem like a quality scope.
